2010 – Spurs qualify for Champions League for the first time.

On 5th May 2010, Spurs travelled to the Etihad to face Man City, knowing that a win would guarantee that they’d finish fourth and earn a Champions League spot and that Man City would miss out.

Although Spurs Double team had played in the European Cup, this was the first time the club would be in European Football’s elite competition since then and it’s revamp into the Champions League.

In a hard fought and tense match, Peter Crouch’s late headed goal won the match 1-0 and capped off a fantastic season and completed a remarkable turnaround in the team’s fortunes by Harry Redknapp in just 18 months.
